THE AFRICA DIARIES PT. II ~ MOZAMBIQUE (VLOG)
Check out Part II of The Africa Diaries, a wildlife-inspired travel vlog series following my hubby, Zander, our Land Rover, Hettie, and me as we explore the African continent in search of conservation stories, wildlife adventures, and wild destinations.
From its jaw-dropping beaches to its emerging wildlife tourism scene, I’ll say this, Mozambique definitely has something for every type of traveler.
To get there, we started our journey from South Africa and made our way up the coast, hitting beachside hotspots: Xai-Xai, Tofo Beach, and Vilanculo (aka Vilanculos) before making our way to Gorongosa National Park where I had one of the most epic wildlife sightings of my life.
For Zander and me, Mozambique was also special because it marked the first time he and I collaborated on a Project:Conservation story together (which you can check out HERE), and in this vlog episode you’ll get to see a little bit of the behind-the-scenes action.
Last but not least, I wanted to share my recent post “HOW TO HELP VICTIMS OF AFRICA’S CYCLONE IDAI”. If you haven’t heard, in March of 2019, parts of Africa’s east coast were hit by one of the continent’s deadliest natural disasters, Cyclone Idai, and Mozambique bore the brunt of its impact.
For anyone interested in helping on-the-ground recovery efforts, I’ve provided a list of organizations currently accepting donations in the above post.
